圖書館

來了這個國家十年,
住了這個區兩年多,
今天是我第一次到訪圖.書.館~
原來很近,也讓我發現到原來我住的這個司其實很可愛,
有很多小咖啡室,小商店...
我真的不該只流連在街市的那條街~

但這個圖書館很有性格,
毎天的開放時間都不同,
而且是星期天休息,
那我豈不是不能放假時去殺殺時間?

今天借的兩本書是在網上預約的,
很方便(不要說我落後,我已十多年沒有上過圖書館!)
是'1984'(是George Orwell,不是Swing的<-爛掉)
和'愛在瘟疫蔓延時'...

借的原因是如果我去了買,
最後它們也只會成為我書架上的'收藏品',
但如果是借的,那我一定會讀,
但若未能讀完而我又很想讀的話,
我才去買,那我便一定可以把它讀完~
(很聰明的想法,不是嗎?)

I have been living in this country for like 10 years,
And in this area for 2 and a bit years,
Today is the first time ever that I visit a library~
It is actually very close to where I live,
And thanks to today's little stroll,
I ralized the area that I live in is actually a very nice area,
lots of little cafes, shops,
I really should spend more time in this area~

Truly, this library has a lot of characters,
Small, and their opening hour is not really user friendly,
Opens from 2pm to 6pm most days and close on Sunday...
A bit inconvenient for people who have a desk job,
and only have Sundays off...
(Oh well, I guess I will just have to live with it~)

The two books that I borrowed today are George Orwell's '1984',
and Gabriel Garcia Marquez's 'Love in the Time of Cholera',
I reserved them on the internet,
Very easy to use and save a lot of time~
(Don't tell me it is very common,
I think the last time I went to a library was more than 10 years ago~)

The reason why I went to borrow them was because,
If I go to a bookshop and buy them,
They will just end up sitting on my bookshelf and be part of my 'collection',
(I know myself too well~)
But if I borrowed them from a library,
I would have to at least read a little bit,
and If I do like them, then I will go and buy them after,
In that case, I will make sure I read them...
(Very clever idea, isn't it? LOL)
